Cold Brew Coffee Recipe

Liven up your summer with delicious cold brew coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coarsely ground coffee (medium to dark roast works best)
  • 4 cups cold, filtered water

Equipment needed:

  • Large jar, jug, or French press
  • Fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth
  • Coffee filter (optional, for extra clarity)

Instructions:

Measure & Combine

  • Add 1 cup of coarsely ground coffee to your jar or French press.
  • Pour in 4 cups of cold, filtered water.
  • Stir gently to ensure all the grounds are saturated.

Steep

  • Cover and let it sit in the fridge (or at room temperature if you prefer) for 12–18 hours.
  • The longer you steep, the stronger and richer the brew.

Strain

  • After steeping, strain the coffee through a fine mesh sieve lined with a cheesecloth or a coffee filter.
  • If using a French press, just press down the plunger slowly.

Serve

  • Dilute with water, milk, or a milk alternative (usually a 1:1 ratio, but adjust to taste).
  • Serve over ice and enjoy!

Optional Add-ins:

  • Sweetener (simple syrup, honey, or maple syrup)
  • Vanilla extract or vanilla-flavoured syrup

Storage:

Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to one week.

Recommended coffee for cold brew: a rich Brazil Santos, or our custom espresso blend.
